Superb antique holy water vase, beautifully carved in high relief from one piece of solid high quality nephrite jade from the Peking province of China. The vase and the removable top are carved in pea plant (symbol of fertility) and chrysanthemum flower motif - dating to the Ch’ing dynasty (nineteenth century or earlier). 8”H. 8”L. 4” deep.
